We will discuss some of the common challenges faced by students entering university as well as mythbusting some common university maths misconceptions. We will suggest strategies for schools and universities, working together to help ease this transition.

Transition to university maths is something students often find difficult, we discuss the reasons for this as well as the skills students need to succeed at university maths. We will introduce some of the common maths topics as well as the different learning and assessment types commonly used at university, focusing on the differences with school level maths.

We will provide insights into the transition from current and former students and academics and suggest practical and helpful tips and guidance you can pass on to your students. This webinar is aimed at teachers of mathematics as well as guidance staff and careers advisors.
