Supporting early mathematical development
This anytime learning webinar series looks at a range of practical ways of permeating numeracy and mathematics in the spaces, interactions and experiences across early learning settings.
The programme is suitable for any practitioner working with young children in Early Learning and Childcare settings and in lower primary.
This programme is a legacy resource developed over three years and can now be accessed as anytime learning.
- Year 1 focussed on the principles of counting.
- Year 2 looked at creating numeracy rich environments both indoors and outdoors and developing curiosity and creativity.
- Year 3 covered involving families and using observations and tracking.
Each recorded session is around an hour long and linked to each session is a range of links and further reading that can be explored. The resource is entirely flexible and can be accessed in whole or in part.

- The learning is accessed via Thinglink, with each year’s programme available through a single landing page.
- Each module consists of a number of videos (housed on YouTube) with links to additional reading and useful websites.
- Each video include reflective questions and ideas for follow-up tasks.
